Introducing the Walsall Supporters’ Alliance

We are pleased to announce that Walsall Supporters For Change (WSFC) has been officially re-named The Walsall Supporters' Alliance (WSA).

After much consideration and following consultation with the Football Supporters’ Association and the club, we’ve adopted a new name that we feel is representative of the changing landscape at Walsall FC and the need for unity within the fanbase.

Walsall Supporters for Change emerged in early 2019, formed by fans angry and frustrated by the rapid decline at every level of the club, a stagnation that extended from a threadbare playing budget to the urine soaked toilets that greeted supporters in the home end.

We lobbied, we complained, we stamped our feet, we made some small but significant wins. Then in July 2019 came a seismic change, exactly the change we all wanted to see.

Since then, WSFC has pledged to support the leadership of the new majority owner, Leigh Pomlett and continued to work to form positive relationships with both Walsall Football Club and fellow groups representing Saddlers fans.

We’ve remained committed to asking important questions of the club, honoured the privilege of attending Working Party Meetings, and stayed focused on our role as a representative for our members.

So moving forward we no longer look to demand much needed change, but to work in unison and alliance with all those who care for Walsall Football Club in what, even in these testing times, promises to be a progressive and prosperous era.
