Festive fundraising success benefits local families

We are delighted to announce that WSA fundraising helped to provide more than 200 meals to deserving people across the borough this Christmas.

Our fundraising campaign raised a grand total of £1,134.00 for Walsall Outreach, a local charity working to support homeless and socially disadvantaged people in the town.

Maz Surti, Project Lead at Walsall Outreach, said: ‘This year has been a challenging year for so many people. With the support we’ve received from the WSA we were able to make a difference to so many families and individuals struggling this Christmas.

‘Overall we delivered 150 meals over the festive period. On Christmas Day we delivered 65 lunches with a further 85 lunches delivered on Bank Holiday Monday to the most needy, vulnerable and elderly within Walsall.

‘We would like to thank Rob Harvey, the Walsall Supporters’ Alliance and all the Saddlers supporters who have rallied around the community during this difficult time. Our volunteers have worked tirelessly to make this a memorable Christmas for so many families.’

The WSA would like to thank everyone who donated so generously during these uncertain times and at a tough period of the year. As always, the spirit of the Walsall FC support never ceases to amaze.
